CBS Sets Primetime Specials for "Price" and "Let's Make a Deal"

CBS has announced six primetime specials for their two daytime game shows. They also have announced that Let's Make a Deal has gone back into production for it's 12th season.

Much like "Price is Right", Let's Make a Deal relies on an audience and the show will look different without one. The show will use two video walls with 18 audience members on each video wall and will also have 12 in-studio audience members that will be in their own "pods". All 12 in-studio contestants are guaranteed a chance to play the game within the hour. The show apparently also shot 40 "at home" episodes.

The show will also be heading back into primetime for the first time in a number of years. CBS has ordered three primetime episodes. The first of which will air on Tuesday 10/27 at 9/8c (following a Price is Right at Night special).

The second special will air on December 21st and will be a Christmas themed episode and will feature host Phil Keoghan as a special guest.

The Price is Right at Night returns on Tuesday 10/27 as well with a special episode dedicated to essential workers and frontline workers. A second At Night edition will air the following Tuesday on 10/3 and will feature the cast of The Neighborhood.

Given the lack of audience, it's unknown whether Price is Right will continue with holiday/themed episodes this season.

CBS has not announced a date for either shows third primetime episode.

Both shows will premiere their new seasons on Monday, November 16th.
