ABC Now Casting For The Chase Reboot

Well, there you have it. In a somewhat of a surprise, it appears ABC is going to be the network to revive The Chase. Casting notices have gone out privately to a number of individuals but currently there is NO public casting call for the show. 

While ABC hasn't officially confirmed a pickup of the show, industry sources have indicated that ABC is the one behind it and they are moving rather quickly with it. ABC hopes to have the show ready for Fall 2020, which is quite bold and really shows you how little faith they must have in their scripted content being ready in time for a fall launch.

BuzzerBlog was all over this all today. It appears that this has been in the works for a while and isn't just a spur of the moment decision in an effort to get as much cheap programs ready for the Fall and Winter seasons. No host or potential beasts have been announced for this yet but I expect things to move rather quickly if they want this to be ready in just a few months. 

We will have much more on how this and other game shows impact the upcoming fall schedules but expect a LOT of game shows and unscripted content. It wouldn't surprise me if we see more game shows getting picked up quickly.
